Public Corrections Log
Purpose
The DesiAI Public Corrections Log provides a transparent record of significant post-publication changes made under the Corrections and Updates Policy. It helps readers distinguish routine editorial adjustments from changes that affect factual accuracy, context, disclosure, classification, reliability or the central conclusion of published content. The log is part of DesiAI’s commitment to editorial accountability and does not aim to document every minor edit or unnecessarily repeat harmful, private, defamatory or security-sensitive information.
What the Log Records
The log records material factual corrections, headline corrections, identity corrections, numerical corrections, clarifications, editor’s notes, significant disclosure additions, article reclassification, material right-of-reply additions, substantive updates where a public record is appropriate, retractions and removals that require explanation.
Routine punctuation or grammar changes, ordinary spelling fixes, formatting adjustments, broken-link repairs, alternative-text improvements, accessibility markup, non-material metadata changes and other edits that do not affect meaning are not normally recorded. However, a change that appears minor will be logged when it affects identity, legal status, commercial disclosure, chronology, scale or how readers are likely to interpret the content.
Testing-Period Archive Review
DesiAI went through a testing and development phase before its controlled public launch. During this period, some publicly accessible pages may have been published while the publication’s editorial identity, authorship practices, article classifications, contribution controls, correction procedures and broader governance framework were still being established. Testing status does not remove responsibility for material that was made publicly available.
The launch archive review considers administrative bylines, repeated or incorrect dates, subject categories and tags, unsupported or insufficiently qualified claims, grammar and spacing issues, duplicated passages, unclear content classification, missing source or methodology information, image rights and credits, commercial disclosures, supplied company materials, contributor identity, unsuitable links, metadata, structured data, privacy, accessibility and legal considerations.
Where the review identifies a material issue involving factual accuracy, authorship, disclosure or classification, DesiAI may apply an appropriate correction, editor’s note, reclassification, retraction or removal. The action will be recorded here where public accountability requires it.
Current Status
As of 6 August 2026, no formal correction entry had been finalized under the launch version of the Corrections and Updates Policy. This does not mean that every testing-period article has completed its review or that no correction may subsequently be necessary. New entries will be published when the relevant review has been completed and an editorial decision has been made.
Entry Format
Each entry identifies the date of action, exact article title and permanent link, action type, original issue, action taken and effect on the article’s central conclusion. Action types may include Correction, Clarification, Editor’s Note, Substantive Update, Right-of-Reply Addition, Reclassification, Retraction and Removal.
A correction entry explains what information was inaccurate and provides the correct information. A clarification entry identifies wording that was materially unclear, ambiguous or incomplete. A disclosure entry records a commercial, professional, access, travel, supplied-material or other relevant relationship that was not adequately explained. A retraction entry explains why the article’s principal reporting can no longer reasonably be relied upon.
Effect on the Central Conclusion
Each material entry states whether the action left the conclusion unchanged, materially qualified it, changed part of the conclusion, reversed the conclusion or rendered the article unreliable and requiring retraction. This helps ensure that a correction is not presented in a way that understates its actual significance.
Sensitive Information
The log may describe an issue at a higher level when repeating specific details could expose a child, identify a confidential source, disclose private medical or intimate information, repeat potentially defamatory material, reveal a security vulnerability, expose credentials, create a physical-safety risk or conflict with a lawful order. Where possible, the article and log entry will still provide sufficient information for readers to understand what accountability action was taken.
External Distribution
Where a material error was distributed through a newsletter, social media account, syndication feed or external partner, the relevant entry may record the steps taken to correct the affected channel. DesiAI cannot guarantee that every external cache, screenshot, repost, quotation or third-party copy will be updated immediately or removed from circulation.
Record Integrity
Correction entries are not silently removed. If an entry itself contains an error, DesiAI will correct it transparently while preserving the record of the change. The log is intended to maintain a chronological history of significant accountability actions.
Reporting an Error
Readers may submit a specific correction request to corrections@deshiai.in. Requests should include the article URL, exact passage or material in question, reason for concern and supporting evidence where available. Formal complaints regarding the handling of a correction may be sent to complaints@deshiai.in.
