Terms of Use
Agreement and Scope
These Terms apply to access to and use of the DeshiAI website, editorial material, newsletters, forms, public policies, multimedia, contributor facilities and related publication services. By accessing or using DeshiAI, a person agrees to follow these Terms to the extent allowed by applicable law. Anyone who does not agree with them should discontinue use, except where access is necessary to exercise a legal right, submit a correction, report a security issue or use material in another manner permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms removes a mandatory legal right.
Publication Identity
DeshiAI is an independently operated digital publication. Unless a separately verified legal operator is expressly identified on the Publisher and Legal Information page or in a specific agreement, references to DeshiAI mean the independent Publisher responsible for operating the publication and website. These Terms do not claim that DeshiAI is incorporated, accredited, regulated, located or staffed in any particular manner unless that information is expressly disclosed.
Content
DeshiAI may publish News, Analysis, Explainers, Investigations, Interviews, Opinion, Reviews, Sponsored Content, Partner Content, Press Releases, advertisements, public policies, contributor material, newsletters, images, audio, video, data visualizations and other forms of media. Labels, bylines, publication dates, disclosures, corrections and source notes are part of the context of the material and should be considered when interpreting it.
General Information and Professional Advice
DeshiAI publishes material for reporting, analysis, commentary, education, criticism and general public information. Unless specifically identified as a properly qualified service, content does not constitute individualized legal, medical, mental-health, investment, financial, tax, accounting, cybersecurity, engineering or other professional advice. Readers should consult an appropriately qualified professional before making decisions involving significant legal, medical, financial, technical or safety consequences. An author’s stated qualifications do not, by themselves, establish a professional-client relationship with a reader.
Accuracy and Updates
DeshiAI makes reasonable efforts to publish accurate information but does not promise that every page will be free of errors, omissions, outdated material or reasonable disagreement over interpretation. Some articles cover developing events and may subsequently require correction, clarification or updating. The publication date indicates when an article was first published, while an updated date indicates a substantive later change. Older material should be understood in the context and circumstances existing when it was published. Specific factual concerns may be sent to corrections@deshiai.in.
Opinions
Opinion articles express the views of the identified author unless the article clearly states otherwise. Publishing an opinion does not necessarily mean that DeshiAI adopts every argument or conclusion as an institutional position. Factual assertions contained within opinion material remain subject to applicable accuracy standards. Readers may challenge, criticize or disagree with published views without gaining an automatic right to have those views removed simply because they are unpopular or uncomfortable.
Commercial Content
Sponsored Content, Partner Content, affiliate-supported material, Press Releases and advertisements are identified under the relevant DeshiAI policies. Commercial material does not become an independent endorsement merely because it appears on the DeshiAI website. Readers should consider the sponsor, claims, conditions, destination and disclosure before relying on or acting upon such material. Payment does not guarantee the quality, legality, safety or suitability of a product or service.
Permitted Personal Use
Subject to applicable law and these Terms, readers may access public pages, share links, quote limited portions with appropriate attribution, use content for personal research, cite material in criticism, education, reporting or scholarship, print limited copies for personal use, use accessibility or translation tools for personal access and use public feeds according to their stated conditions.
Where reasonably possible, attribution should identify DeshiAI, the relevant article and author. Use must not create a misleading impression of endorsement, sponsorship, partnership or official affiliation.
Intellectual Property
Text, website design, graphics, photographs, audio, video, databases, logos, branding, software code and other materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, database rights, contract or other legal rights. Ownership may belong to DeshiAI, its Publisher, an author, photographer, illustrator, agency, contributor, partner, licensor or another rights holder. These Terms do not transfer ownership or intellectual-property rights to a user. Licensing and rights requests are addressed under the Copyright and Content Licensing Policy.
Prohibited Reproduction
Unless permitted by law or authorized in writing, a person must not republish a substantial DeshiAI article, systematically copy the website, remove attribution, sell DeshiAI content, create a misleading derivative work, reproduce protected images without permission, substantially copy a database, present DeshiAI material as original work, translate and republish substantial content without permission, use DeshiAI branding to imply endorsement or commercially syndicate content without an appropriate agreement.
A short quotation used lawfully with suitable attribution is different from reproducing the substance of an entire work.
Automated Access
Automated access must respect applicable law, robots controls, security measures, rate limits, technical restrictions, intellectual-property rights, privacy requirements, public feeds, licensing conditions and written permissions. Automated systems must not overload DeshiAI infrastructure, bypass access controls, evade rate limits, collect private or restricted information, disrupt services, impersonate users, create deceptive accounts, unlawfully extract personal information, ignore explicit technical restrictions or use unauthorized credentials.
Search-engine indexing and ordinary accessibility tools may operate subject to publicly stated technical controls.
Artificial Intelligence and Dataset Use
Except where permitted by applicable law, a public technical instruction, specific license or written agreement, DeshiAI content may not be systematically copied for commercial model training, dataset development, synthetic republication or operation of a competing content service. This does not prevent ordinary reading, lawful quotation, accessibility use, search indexing consistent with technical controls, research permitted by law, licensed use or analysis that does not unlawfully reproduce protected material.
Requests for broader machine-use or dataset rights may be sent to legal@deshiai.in. DeshiAI does not claim that every use can be restricted beyond the rights available under applicable law.
Prohibited Conduct
A person must not use DeshiAI to distribute malware, steal credentials, test or probe systems outside the applicable vulnerability policy, disrupt availability, bypass security controls, impersonate an individual or organization, submit false identity information, conduct deceptive mass outreach, harass or threaten others, unlawfully publish private information, expose confidential sources or submit non-consensual intimate material.
Users must also not infringe intellectual-property or other rights, manipulate forms, unlawfully scrape personal information, distribute spam, conceal paid-link arrangements, submit fabricated evidence, make fraudulent copyright claims, interfere with correction or complaint processes, create misleading copies of DeshiAI or misuse the publication’s identity to deceive others.
Good-faith security research conducted under the Security and Vulnerability Disclosure Policy is treated separately.
Forms and Submissions
People may submit contact messages, pitches, corrections, complaints, rights-of-reply requests, advertisements, accessibility reports, security reports, documents, images, comments if enabled in the future or other material. By submitting material, the person represents, to the best of their knowledge, that the submission is lawful, identity and authority have been represented accurately, necessary rights are held, the submission does not knowingly contain malware, confidentiality requirements have been identified, relevant third-party rights are disclosed, commercial relationships are identified, material facts have not deliberately been fabricated and unnecessary sensitive information has not been included.
Submission does not guarantee confidentiality, payment, publication or a personal response. A confidential-source arrangement requires an express understanding with DeshiAI.
License for Submitted Material
Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, a person submitting material for possible publication grants DeshiAI a non-exclusive right to review, store, edit, reproduce for editorial assessment, publish if accepted, display, archive, promote, correct, technically adapt, quote, distribute and retain records reasonably necessary for editorial and accountability purposes.
The license is limited to purposes reasonably connected with the submission and applicable rights. A contributor retains underlying copyright unless a written agreement expressly provides otherwise.
Contributor Terms
Authors and contributors may also be subject to the Author and Contributor Standards, Guest Posting and Contributor Guidelines, applicable commissioning agreement, disclosure requirements, rights terms, correction obligations and other public editorial policies. Publication does not establish employment, agency, partnership or representative status unless a written agreement expressly creates such a relationship.
No Guaranteed Publication
DeshiAI may reject, postpone, edit, reclassify, withdraw or discontinue submitted material. Acceptance of a pitch does not promise publication. Payment, sponsorship or commercial discussions do not guarantee independent editorial coverage. No unauthorized individual may sell or promise guaranteed independent publication on behalf of DeshiAI.
Comments and Community Features
Public comments are not enabled at launch. If comments or other community functions are introduced, additional rules may govern accounts, moderation, privacy, acceptable conduct, removal, appeals, retention, children, spam and user-generated content. DeshiAI may restrict, suspend or discontinue community functions where it cannot operate them safely or responsibly.
External Links and Embedded Content
DeshiAI may link to external websites for evidence, attribution, context, services or commercial purposes. DeshiAI does not control every external destination and does not guarantee its availability, accuracy, legality, security, privacy, accessibility, product quality, continuing ownership or unchanged content. A link does not necessarily represent endorsement of every statement, product or service available at the destination.
Embedded video, audio, social-media content, documents and widgets may operate under third-party terms and privacy practices. Optional embedded content may be restricted until the visitor makes an appropriate cookie or privacy choice.
Availability
DeshiAI may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of the website because of maintenance, security, legal requirements, incident response, technical problems, provider failures, corrections, privacy considerations, rights issues, operational changes or the need to protect readers and sources.
DeshiAI does not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent access to every feature, while seeking to preserve the integrity of its editorial archive wherever reasonably possible.
Accounts
If user accounts are introduced, users should provide accurate information, protect their credentials, use strong and unique passwords, report suspected compromise, avoid unauthorized account sharing, comply with applicable age and authority requirements and use accounts lawfully. DeshiAI may suspend an account for security concerns, abuse, impersonation or material violations of these Terms. Ordinary public reading does not require a reader account at launch.
Newsletters
Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe through the available mechanism. DeshiAI may send essential administrative communications relating to subscription status, consent, security, delivery, policy changes, corrections or service operation. A newsletter subscription does not guarantee a particular publication frequency, continued availability or inclusion of specific articles.
Commercial Transactions
Advertising, sponsorship, licensing and paid services may be governed by a separate written agreement addressing matters such as scope, pricing, taxes, payment, production, disclosure, approval, cancellation, liability, rights, confidentiality, performance, refunds and governing law. Where a valid specific written agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the specific agreement governs the relevant relationship to the extent permitted by law.
Privacy
Personal information is handled under the DeshiAI Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and applicable law. Using the website does not constitute consent to optional tracking where consent is legally required. Visitors can manage applicable optional technologies through Cookie Settings.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided on an as-available basis. DeshiAI does not guarantee uninterrupted service, completely error-free operation, the absence of malicious third-party activity, continued availability of external links, suitability for a particular decision, commercial results, search rankings, indexing, media coverage, AI citation, accuracy of every prediction or continuing validity of time-sensitive information.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a responsibility, warranty or legal obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by applicable law, DeshiAI is not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general informational material, external websites, service interruptions, unauthorized third-party conduct, unsupported user submissions, changed circumstances, loss of anticipated commercial results or use of the website contrary to these Terms.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including applicable responsibility for fraud, deliberate misconduct, personal injury or another protected category.
Readers remain responsible for obtaining professional advice and verifying time-sensitive information before taking consequential action.
Restriction and Termination
DeshiAI may restrict access, block an address, reject a submission, suspend a service or terminate a relationship when reasonably necessary because of security issues, unlawful conduct, harassment, impersonation, fraud, malware, repeated spam, infringement of rights, breach of a commercial agreement, risk to confidential sources, abuse of complaint mechanisms, evasion of technical controls or another material breach of these Terms. Restrictions should be proportionate where reasonably possible.
Copyright, Corrections and Complaints
Copyright concerns are handled under the Copyright and Content Licensing Policy. A rights notice should identify the protected work, rights holder, authority to act, exact URL or location, alleged infringement, requested action and relevant supporting information. DeshiAI may request clarification, consult a contributor or decline a notice where the use appears to be legally permitted.
Specific factual corrections may be sent to corrections@deshiai.in. Formal editorial complaints and rights-of-reply requests may be sent to complaints@deshiai.in. Legal notices may be sent to legal@deshiai.in. Privacy requests may be sent to privacy@deshiai.in. Security reports may be sent to security@deshiai.in.
Changes, Severability and Waiver
DeshiAI may revise these Terms in response to legal developments, new services, account functionality, operational changes, commercial models, security requirements, user feedback or organizational changes. Material revisions are identified through an updated effective date and additional notice where appropriate. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that have already arisen under applicable law or a specific agreement.
If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not automatically waive the right to enforce it later.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The law and jurisdiction applicable to a dispute may depend on the parties involved, their location, the activity concerned, any applicable contract, the subject matter, mandatory consumer or privacy protections, valid legal process and other relevant circumstances. Unless a specific written agreement lawfully provides otherwise, these Terms do not attempt to select a jurisdiction in a way that removes mandatory legal rights or obligations.
