Cookie Policy
Purpose
DeshiAI uses cookies and comparable technologies for defined purposes such as website functionality, security, preferences, measurement and, where enabled, commercial activities. This policy explains the main categories of technology that may be used, their purposes and the ways visitors can manage optional choices.
The cookie banner, Cookie Settings interface and current technology inventory are intended to reflect what is actually operating on the website. DeshiAI does not rely on a generic cookie statement to conceal scripts, providers or processing purposes that have not been properly disclosed to visitors.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small piece of information placed on, or accessed from, a browser or device. Similar technologies can include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits, device identifiers, embedded scripts, link identifiers, cache technologies and other methods that store or access information on a device. Unless a particular distinction is important, this policy uses the term cookies to cover these technologies generally.
First-Party and Third-Party Technologies
A first-party cookie is typically placed or controlled through the DeshiAI website domain. Third-party technologies may be supplied by services supporting analytics, video, social media, advertising, consent management, security, affiliate measurement, email, fonts, content delivery or embedded media. Third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy notices and contractual arrangements. DeshiAI seeks to limit unnecessary third-party technologies and considers their purpose, data practices, retention, security and international transfer arrangements.
Session and Persistent Cookies
A session cookie generally remains active only while the browser session is open and expires afterward. A persistent cookie remains for a specified period or until removed by the visitor or system. Retention should be proportionate to the reason for using the technology. Optional identifiers are not kept indefinitely simply because a provider permits a longer duration. The active inventory identifies the applicable duration or an understandable duration category where practicable.
Necessary Technologies
Necessary cookies and similar technologies support essential website functions such as security, abuse and fraud prevention, administrator authentication, traffic management, network operation, form functionality, consent-preference storage, accessibility settings, content delivery and maintaining a user session. Where applicable law permits, these technologies may operate without separate optional consent.
Necessary technologies are not used as a concealed means of running advertising, unrelated analytics or behavioral profiling. DeshiAI provides appropriate information about the essential technologies used by the website.
Preference Technologies
Preference technologies may remember settings such as language, display preferences, region, accessibility choices, video settings or other interface customizations. Where consent is legally required, these technologies remain inactive until the visitor makes the relevant choice.
A technology is not classified as necessary merely because it makes the website easier for DeshiAI to operate. It should be genuinely required to provide a requested or essential function before being treated as necessary.
Analytics
Analytics may help DeshiAI understand website visits, referral sources, device categories, performance, errors, broad geographic patterns, article engagement, navigation, newsletter activity, aggregate audience behavior and technical issues. DeshiAI favors proportionate measurement and seeks to avoid collecting identifiers that are not needed for the stated purpose. Where consent is required, optional analytics does not begin before the visitor has made the applicable choice.
Analytics information should not be interpreted as a definitive statement about an individual’s identity, intentions, interests or editorial preferences.
Advertising Technologies
Advertising technologies may be used for purposes such as delivering advertisements, managing frequency, detecting advertising fraud, supporting contextual placement, measuring conversions, attributing affiliate activity, reporting campaign performance and enabling personalization where lawfully permitted. Where consent is required, optional advertising and personalization technologies remain inactive until valid consent is obtained.
DeshiAI does not classify a technology as necessary solely because it contributes to advertising revenue. Sensitive behavioral profiling is not an inherent editorial purpose of the DeshiAI publication.
Contextual Advertising
Contextual advertising may determine which advertisement is shown according to the subject or general context of a page rather than an individual’s behavioral history. Even contextual systems can involve technical processing, frequency management, security controls or limited measurement. DeshiAI assesses the actual implementation rather than assuming that every contextual advertising system is automatically free of privacy implications.
Affiliate Technologies
Affiliate technologies may record whether a visitor followed an affiliate link and subsequently completed a qualifying action. Relevant affiliate relationships are disclosed on the applicable page, while the cookie or technology inventory identifies the provider, purpose and duration where appropriate.
DeshiAI does not permit affiliate tracking that is hidden, unrelated to the disclosed commercial relationship or unnecessary for the stated affiliate activity.
Embedded Content
Third-party video, audio, social-media posts, maps, documents, forms and other embedded material may place cookies or transmit information to the provider. Where optional consent is required, DeshiAI may block such content until the visitor makes a choice, display a privacy-conscious placeholder, identify the relevant provider, allow the visitor to activate the content and provide a text or direct-link alternative where practicable.
Activating third-party content may allow that provider to process information under its own privacy policy and terms.
Security Technologies
Security technologies may be used to identify malicious requests, automated abuse, credential attacks, spam, denial-of-service attempts, suspicious authentication activity, invalid form submissions and other threats. Security logging should remain proportionate to the security purpose.
A security classification does not provide a basis for unrelated advertising, profiling or commercial tracking.
Consent Standard
Where consent is legally required, it should be freely given, informed, specific, unambiguous and based on a clear affirmative action. Optional purposes should be presented separately where necessary, without preselected choices, and the decision should be recorded only to the extent reasonably required. Withdrawal should be available and no more difficult than giving consent.
Simply continuing to browse, remaining inactive or failing to interact with the banner is not treated as consent to optional technologies where affirmative consent is required.
Accept and reject controls should be similarly accessible and understandable. The consent interface should not use misleading colors, disproportionate button sizes, repeated interruptions or confusing wording to pressure visitors into accepting optional technologies.
Cookie Banner
The cookie banner explains that DeshiAI uses cookies or similar technologies, identifies the optional categories and their principal purposes, indicates where third parties are involved and provides understandable options to accept, reject or customize the available choices.
Acceptance should not be made materially easier than rejection. Necessary technologies are explained separately from optional categories so that visitors can understand which functions require essential processing and which depend on their choice.
Cookie Settings
A persistent Cookie Settings option is normally made available through the website footer or another readily accessible location. Visitors can use it to review cookie categories, see their current choices, accept or reject optional categories, change individual preferences where available, withdraw consent and review relevant provider information and the effect of their choices.
Changing cookie preferences should not require unnecessary account registration, direct communication or other unrelated steps.
No Preselected Optional Categories
Optional cookie categories are not activated through preselected checkboxes, toggles or equivalent default choices where consent is required. Necessary technologies may appear as permanently enabled only when they genuinely qualify as necessary under the applicable framework and are described clearly.
Essential and optional purposes should not be combined in a way that prevents visitors from making a meaningful decision.
Withdrawal
Visitors can change or withdraw optional cookie choices through Cookie Settings. Once a withdrawal is registered, affected optional technologies should stop being used for future processing as soon as reasonably practicable.
Withdrawal does not necessarily erase processing that occurred lawfully before the withdrawal. Visitors may also use browser controls or applicable privacy-rights procedures where they want to make a broader request.
Consent Records
DeshiAI or its consent-management provider may retain a limited record of a visitor’s choice, selected categories, date and time, relevant banner or policy version, regional configuration, technical identifier and subsequent withdrawal. Such records are limited to what is reasonably necessary to demonstrate, administer and respect the visitor’s consent decision.
Access to Public Content
DeshiAI does not ordinarily make access to public editorial content conditional upon accepting optional analytics or advertising cookies. Essential security, delivery and functionality technologies may still operate where permitted.
If the website introduces a materially different access model, that approach should receive appropriate legal, privacy and fairness review and be communicated to visitors before implementation.
Browser Controls and Privacy Signals
Most modern browsers provide controls that allow visitors to view, delete or block cookies, restrict third-party cookies, clear stored website data and limit certain forms of tracking. Blocking essential technologies can affect security, forms, preferences or other website functions. Browser settings do not remove DeshiAI’s responsibility to obtain consent where applicable.
DeshiAI considers recognized browser and device privacy signals when configuring website technologies. Any signal that the website actually supports is described accurately through Cookie Settings or the relevant privacy notice. DeshiAI does not claim compatibility with a privacy signal unless a functioning implementation exists.
Cookie Inventory
The Cookie Settings interface or related inventory identifies, where practicable, each active technology by name, provider, first- or third-party status, category, purpose, information involved, duration, destination, consent requirement and relevant provider details.
The inventory should reflect the website’s actual configuration and should be checked against the technology in use. A copied generic cookie list is not treated as an adequate record.
DeshiAI reviews technologies associated with its content-management system, theme, extensions, analytics, advertising, consent tools, fonts, video, social embeds, security systems, forms, newsletters, affiliate links, content delivery and other third-party scripts. Provider names and cookie details are not presented as verified where they have not actually been confirmed.
Retention and International Processing
Cookie duration should correspond to the purpose for which the technology is used. DeshiAI considers whether a session-based technology is sufficient, whether a persistent identifier lasts longer than necessary, whether withdrawal disables the relevant technology, whether a provider retains associated information beyond the cookie’s lifespan and whether the original purpose remains active.
A cookie may expire while related server-side records remain. Such server-side retention is addressed separately under the Privacy Policy.
Third-party providers may process information in other countries. DeshiAI considers relevant transfer, contractual and security requirements when selecting and configuring such services. A provider’s international operation does not remove DeshiAI’s responsibility for appropriate selection and configuration.
Children
DeshiAI does not knowingly use optional behavioral advertising technologies to create profiles of children. Where a service may reasonably involve children, additional review is applied to consent, age considerations, profiling, personalization, data minimization, third-party advertising, manipulative design and retention.
Changes and Audit
Before introducing or materially modifying a cookie or similar technology, DeshiAI considers its purpose, category, necessity, provider, information processed, duration, consent requirement, international processing, security, accessibility, disclosure, contractual arrangements, data sharing and effect on existing visitor choices.
A new optional provider is not activated simply because a plugin, extension or third-party service enables it automatically.
The cookie configuration is reviewed before material optional technology is introduced, following theme or extension changes, when analytics, advertising or embedded services are added, after changes to the consent platform, following a relevant privacy complaint, after significant regulatory developments and at appropriate regular intervals. The published policy, cookie banner, Cookie Settings interface and inventory should remain consistent with the technologies actually operating on the DeshiAI website.
